A glorious chapter begins
TVS Group, the Indian conglomerate with interests in transport, automobile dealership, and auto components, establishes Wheels India, foreseeing a rapid growth of the then-nascent Indian automobile industry. The factory in Padi, Chennai is inaugurated by eminent statesmen and admired leaders of the nation. 1962-68
